ABOUT ME

Two wheels
One passion

For as long as I can remember, my life has revolved around bikes. First laps as a kid, then skate and dirt parks on 20-inch BMX bikes, downhill and enduro in the Alps – and today road, gravel and triathlon. Two wheels have been with me all my life.

Workshop & engineering

The bike shop was my second home. When I wasn’t there after school, I was taking my own bike apart and putting it back together. Trying, wrenching, optimising – that shaped me.

As a mechanical engineer, I’m still fascinated by anything that works precisely: crisp shifting, bearings that run buttery smooth, load-optimised tube junctions in a carbon frame – and in the end you simply glide down a beautiful Alpine pass.

How I got into bike fitting

For a long time I experimented on my own: stems, handlebars, saddles – I kept swapping things because something always hurt somewhere. The aha moment came when I read an interview with Phil Burt and finished his book in one go.

Suddenly a lot made sense: why saddle height and knee pain are connected, or why the wrong handlebar width causes neck problems. I tried it on myself first, then on my wife and friends.

The results were so clear that it turned into a new passion: bike fitting, somewhere between art and science. When it works, one more person is happy on two wheels – and that’s what drives me.

Zentrierstudio Potsdam

With Zentrierstudio I’ve turned my hobby into something more professional and created a space that gives it all structure and shape.

My goal is to get you as centred on the bike as possible – practical, not over-engineered: so nothing hurts, you enjoy riding more and simply last longer.

In the end it’s not about perfect numbers or formulas, but about you and your bike in balance.

Let’s get started
