WHAT TO EXPECT

Bike fit at Zentrierstudio Potsdam

A bike fit is more than technology – it’s about bringing you and your bike into harmony. Video analysis is a tool; the focus is you on your bike.

We don’t look for one fixed number, but for a range of movement in which you ride efficiently and without discomfort.

The result is a position that feels good not just in the studio, but above all outside – on the road, on gravel or in a race.

WE LOOK. WE MEASURE. WE ADJUST. YOU RIDE.

What happens in a fit session

Assessment and goals

Let’s do this

We start with a short chat about how you ride, your goals and your experience so far. Then we check your mobility (joints, muscles, posture), your feet and, very importantly, your shoes and cleats.

Initial setup

First impression

We film your current position and document where you’re starting from. Here we decide whether to run the session on your own bike or on the adjustable fitting bike with more degrees of freedom.

Fit iterations

On the trainer!

Now it’s about the details. Everything is connected, so we work towards your optimal position in several small rounds. Where needed we adjust saddle position, handlebar and hoods. If necessary, we go back to the shoes to get the most out of it.

Homework

Over to you

After a final before/after check I give you my feedback and we talk about the next few months. You also get my bike fit journal to note down how things feel.

AFTER THE FITTING

The fitting is just the beginning

Your position has to prove itself out on the road. That’s why after the session you get your bike fit journal and access to your client portal: a report with all measurements, your exercise videos and a way to send me questions at any time.

After 2, 6 and 12 weeks I check in briefly to see how it’s going. If something doesn’t feel right, we fine-tune.

FAQ

How long does a bike fit take?

Usually 2–3 hours, depending on your starting point.

Do I need to bring my own bike?

For a full bike fit, your current bike is an important basis. If you don’t have a bike yet and aren’t sure about the size, start by booking buying advice– it covers your start in road and gravel cycling perfectly.

What should I bring?

Cycling shoes – ideally the ones you currently ride in; if you’ve just bought new ones, bring the old pair too. Cycling kit – your usual bib shorts and a jersey or close-fitting top. A clean bike. Helmet – especially if you often have neck issues. Towel & water bottle – at least one full bottle, more is welcome.

Will there be extra costs?

I’m not a bike shop and I’m not trying to sell you parts. If we find during the session that something needs to change, I’m happy to give recommendations and you decide afterwards. If your feet need more support, we can fit G8 Performance insoles on the spot, at a fair price and always agreed beforehand. Spacers or wedges usually cost under €10.

How does booking work?

You request a session online, I confirm by email and send you a short questionnaire so we don’t start from zero. You get a reminder the day before.

Where is the studio?

David-Gilly-Straße 1, 14469 Potsdam, right at the Kirschallee tram stop (line 92). There is plenty of parking on site. More under Contact.
